PTSD & Other Anxiety Disorders
The hell of re-experiencing trauma through the nightmares, memories and behaviors of PTSD does NOT have to be a life sentence. Phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorder, PTSD and other Anxiety Disorders all involve nervous system activation that can cause grave discomfort. Given the right context, many responses that have been learned can be unlearned, and support, education and nervous system de-activation can make the difference that will allow a client to feel more like him or herself as their body becomes a more comfortable place to inhabit.

Multicultural Issues

Nicola Ranson's work with asylum seekers, and the Lesbian and Gay community all contribute to her appreciation of cultural differences. She enjoys working with those who are new to the United States and to the English language. As an immigrant herself she understands the challenges of cultural transition. Cult Recovery
This is likely to involve cognitive and cultural dissonance, as well as trauma, both from the cult and from the re-entry to a society which in itself can be a cultural shock.
